We've been traveling for months and have seen most of what Route 66 has to offer. This place is easily in my top three, maybe number one. As far as authenticity, it just doesn't get any better. The lady who owns it has been running the place, as is, for over 40 years and is so sweet. She loves talking about the town, 66, and the history in general. From the look of it, she hasn't increased her prices in that time, either. The whole family of six got food they loved and filled their bellies for around 20. What?! If you're traveling the Route, you owe it to yourself to check the place out, and you owe it to the cosmos to make sure this fine lady can keep the doors open for another 40 years!

I had a shake here that was delicious. The owner also still works here and is a real sweetheart. The Dairy still has drive-thru service, but my wife and I went inside to absorb some more of the past on our Route 66 journey.

Oh my gosh!! What a great place on Route 66, from the fresh, homemade Route 66 cookies, to a delicious homemade cheeseburger and tater tots! Oh, and yeah, creamy ice cream cones for dessert! And very cheaply priced! Do stop in and say hello to the Mom and son who have run this establishment for years! (right across the street from Allen's Co oco Filling Station)

Great historical place. Personal service. Got a banana split. Great conversation with owner. A must stop on route 66...51/2 yrs later, we swung by but they were closed. so glad to see they are still opened.
